COVID-19 has changed our lives in more ways than we could have imagined. We are forced to change the everyday routine that we thought was a normality – work, school, education, exercise, sports, use of technology. We have become a customised to meeting with family and friends, and work colleagues via online platforms and have started to eliminate the opportunity to socialise and work in our comfortable environments. This might have an impact on your mental health, leaving you feeling anxious, stressed or lonely and lacking the ability to utilise your traditional coping strategies.
A few years ago, I was introduced to the topic of performance energy. It helps you to identify and prioritise the things that are most important to you, and establishing a model for keeping your energy up and your emotions stable.
Performance Energy helps you to identify a few things that are most important to you to maintain your energy levels. By maintain your energy levels this helps stabilise your mood, relationships, work productivity, health, happiness and wellbeing.
Working with a leadership, life and wellbeing coach, can help you identify the elements that balance your energy levels and strategies and models to help restore these levels to achieve balance and increase your performance energy. During COVID-19 this is becoming increasingly important as our initial coping mechanisms start to become less engaging. As our world and lives changes, our ability to maintain our energy levels is compromised, creating further need to restore balance in how we work, manage relationships, maintain our health and wellbeing. Understanding performance energy, and how to balance your energy levels can help us now and for the future.
